Not the Way
#627
This is not the way it's supposed to be
Her life exposes the lie that love is free
She has paid dearly for poor imitations
The real thing far beyond her limitations
Too much and not enough simultaneously
With a tendency to speak extraneously
She's found herself alone and dead inside
No longer caring if wrongs are rectified
Just watching life pass her right on by
Completely devoid of any tears left to cry
